YES!!! ...and I am NOT HAPPY ABOUT IT!!! Flew just fine until a friend accidentally hit the A.R.Drone Update button instead of the pilot drone button and it just really started updating bam bam bam now the back left motor doesn't make that little movement and the little noise when you first put battery in. And when you boot into the application it starts out saying motor emergency and doesn't register anything under motor number 4 (back left) in the application for the software version... it's all zero'ed out!!! BALLz!!!!!!! Since I don't see any great solutions in this forum I guess I'll call tech support Monday ]:-( so much for my weekend with this damn thing! It was bad enough Android pilotz got hosed again by crApplez unbelievable ability to fool all of these millions of new tech-baby boomerz of the general public another 2 months to get the software for android. Probably some back door deal with crApple to get the recording codec activated for free this time because it's not open source so they held it up so more ignorant people would buy iphones to fly these things with. Open source people!!! Come on get with the program programmers... God knows I had enough problems with the first version of this drunken dronie...this 2.0 better get straightened up quick or I'm gonna be the biggest anti-parrot blogger in the SW United States. Might be time to spend some real bucks on a big boy quadropter or octocopter... and move away from these kiddie toys...it's getting old quick parrot!!!
the answer is simple and thus why you called it advanced flying... GO FAST and FLY THE CRAP OUT OF IT! If you screw around with the drone then you give it too much time to do what it wants to do...if you fly the crap out of it then you will see that you will have a lot less headaches trying to figure the darn thing out... I have gone as high as 120 feet in the air and AT NIGHT!!! I have plenty of footage recorded (sorry crApple folks for crApple Inc. I mean...) that would blow your mind and I can drop it out of the sky at full DOWNWARD collective and have it on the ground in front of me in less than 15 seconds from 120'+ up by simply utilizing the UPWARDS collective when it is about 1/3 of the way down and it really looks cool from the video/camera's perspective that are onboard when you go back later and watch them... FLY THE DARN THING...repairs cost money but money is useless anyways so enjoy it and FLY FLY FLY!!!!

Your Wi-Fi has NOTHING to do with you 3G conectivity...and the Android uses only one or the other at a time. SOOOOO if you are using your WiFi for your A.R.Drone on your (by the way ANY) Android device then you should probably expect NOT to receive any DATA information from your wireless provider network. I am thinking this to be a very good thing because come on and really...if you are flying your A.R.Drone with your phone then what the hell are you doing caring about Twittz and emailz for anyways? Have you ever flashed your A.R.Drone from an Android device? Well it has you disconnect itself from the drone and makes you then reconnect to your internet for the FIRMWARE then it has you drop the internet connection via Wi-Fi and connect then back to your Drone... I am sure Parrot has an excellent reason for this...because it's NOT A FAULT with Android ya iPhoney bologna twittz using phreak. Android has no issues using your DATA CONNECTION from your wireless service provider no matter what technology you enjoy and pay for (3G-4G) and then sharing this connection VIA Wi-Fi using the create hotspot/access point for up to 4 more wireless Wi-Fi enabled devices to also enjoy. So this means that this has absolutely nothing to do with Android and probably your USELESS wireless service providers 'VERSION' of it. Root it, ROM it, escape the bonds of your domain and save the world the time to have to explain everything to you and the time that it would take you to investigate a mute point of useless porportions. Time wasted for sure....time well spent for me to try to save you the rest of your life trying to figure out that once you enjoy the freedoms of the ROOTing AND ROMing world that GOOGLE PROMOTES then you will throw rocks at all the TECH-B-A-B-Y BOOMERz (had to spell that weird because of some strange AAAAAAA when you type the word BA-BY) of the world that are still so victims of marketing and a learning disability to want to actually own anything from crApple Inc. Ya, and I know the usual answer is, I don't need all of those extra features and I don't need my phone to do all that. Fine then stop making a HUGE deal about how neeto it is that you can now talk to your phone and it will and might actually do what you say...when Android users have been enjoying this (STOCK) for three years and never have to spend another $500-$700 every time that crApple decides to 'grant' you the ability by CASH AND ONLY CASH PLEASE AND THANK YOU... to do something that you should have always been able to do for phree. How is that FLASH treating you? crApple Inc. bought ADOBE so that you couldn't have it on your iPhoney and iPudz because they don't want people to be able to view half of the internet... and of course GOOGLE owns YouTube!!! heh... thus the reason they came out with ADOBE AIR and are now putting the kabosh on FLASH.... lamers...

Lot's of them... get used to it if you are going to continue to purchase and then fail to inspect and test the possibility of the connectors not being 'keyed' for dummies. I have yet to buy an aftermarket battery that doesn't offer up some sort of serious risk, performance embelishment and ultimately headaches from hell. Just buy the new board...then you will have plenty of spare parts for the next time you cause yourself issues like this. I have many as they also tend to crack, pop off surface mounted components and or just plain not work anymore after any HARD CRASH...thus... after a few more months you will have plenty of spare parts... lol... also, a lot less expensive to purchase a REFURBISHED complete DRONE online from anywhere pratically that has them to offer than it is to buy component after component after component. I have three of them and only one fly's at a time... (so I like to fly the hell out of it... *grins*) good luck!
