---UPDATE---

Ok so thank God I was able to figure out that it has been saving videos and photos to my iPad but for some reason I can not view them in the Free Flight 2.0 application.  The Lord showed me that they are accessible via the Photos app built in with iOS and for some reason both the videos and picture are in that same Photos app.  Now why the Free Flight 2.0 app is not allowing me to view them within the app I dont know.  I was thinking maybe because I don't allow the app to have access to my location it is also preventing it from accessing other parts of my iPad like where the videos and pictures are stored.

Whatever the reason I do feel like the new Free Flight 2.0 application for iOS is perhaps buggy and might need some more debugging with updates before we really can take advantage of this new hardware in the AR Drone 2.0, etc. because so far I have experienced 2 seperate problems with trying to record video and take photos like the one previously mentioned and also it not recording or even recognizing my USB drive.

Some of the features that I would love to see fixed and added are the whole recording video issues to the iPad and USB drive, ability to have access to the USB drive within the Free Flight app, the film making features that were originally advertised when it was first announced (like crane, tavelling, pan, etc.), and most importantly, i would LOVE to see Parrot release some type of hardware device that we could perhaps attach to the AR Drone or maybe even plug into the USB port to allow it to be able to use a 2.4GHz radio transmitter to control it instead of of using an iOS or Android device. I know there are already some hacks and at least one plug and play device that will enable this but I would really love to see Parrot release an official hardware device covered under warranty, etc.

Please Parrot, no offense and not to be rude but please help us to debug and fix these and any other issues within all the software that you have released so that we all can fully take advantage and have fun with this new hardware instead of getting frustrated and wanting to return or sell your products away.  It seems like the new AR.Drone 2.0 is capable of being a great drone however as of right now it looks like the software is really holding it back.

Thanks.

Hello everyone,

Since I've received my Parrot AR Drone 2.0 I still have not been able to either record video or take photos via saving it to my iPad or on my USB drive.

This is everything that I've done so far:

-I've updated both the Free Flight 2.0 app and also updated the firmware on the drone to the latest as far as I know.
-I've tried recording directly to the iPad and also tried taking photos with no success.
-I've tried recording and taking photos directly to the USB drive with USB Recording enabled and no success.

My setup is the Parrot AR Drone 2.0 with an Apple iPad 1 running iOS 5.1.  Please if anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.  First I was dealing with a possible battery issue and now I can't record video and take photos as well.

Also just so you know the USB drive is a Kingston 8 GB 32 FAT.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks everyone and may God Bless you all and all your friends and family!  Amen.

Hello everyone.  I just got the AR.Drone 2.0 thanks be to God however I noticed upon opening that the battery was kind of greasy and oily. I read the user guide and it did mention not to use them if the battery is leaking or has a strange odor coming from it but I don't really know if this is the case or not.  The box does have a weird type of almost like gasoline or some type of fuel smell but the actual battery did not as far as I can tell.  I'm wondering if the smell of the box is from the machines or something that they use to make the egg carton type material and the grease or oil on the battery is some type of machine oil as well? Also the battery did not come in a plastic bag or anything. I wonder if it was used or refurbished prior to shipment.  Did anyone else's battery come without it being in a plastic bag too?

Please help if anyone may know what's going on or if you too have noticed these same things.  I really hope the battery is not defective because i just opened it up you know?  Thanks and God Bless you and all your friends and family.
