Hi,
It is not possable to backdate the app. can I why why do you want to do this?
Are you experiencing a problem with freeflight version 2.0?
I bought my AR.Drone in April of 2011, and am just now updating to the latest version. I can't figure out how to adjust the settings in the AR.Drone 2.0 firmware. Everything is completely different than the instructions that are in the Quick Start book that came with my AR.Drone. Where can I get some information on this?

I have AR Drone 1 that I purchased in January and recently updated the Freeflight app to ver 2.0. I've had nothing but trouble since. I too would like to downgrade my Freeflight to the old version so I can fly my drone. Parrot needs to put the old version back in the Apple App Store so we have a choice if the new version doesn't work.

Yes, The video feed is extremely lagging in the FreeFlight 2.0 with firmware 1.10.10. Luckily. Thanks to Steve Job. He invented a thing called iCloud that I was able to restore my FreeFlight 1.9.3 apps to my iPhone via iCloud! And it works! Once I downgraded it back to the 1.9.3 apps with 1.7.11 firmware on the Drone. The video lagging issue gone away!
I think Parrot should put back the FreeFlight 1.9.3 apps in the iTunes Store for those people to have a choice! This time, I just lucky!
Thanks to Steve Job! The man in heaven is still contributing the world! Jesus Christ! ![]()
I have written a firmware downgrade tutorial here, anyone needs it. Downgrade it yourself:

IPA (ios apps) cannot be shared. Each one is tied to the account in witch it was purchased no matter if its a paid app or not. Only way to downgrade is if you kept a copy of the old IPA app file. If you are running a newer version of windows like vista or windows 7, You could try right clicking the file and see if the computer can restore the older version of the file via shaddowcopy. If you are on a Mac and you have Time Machine running for your regular backups you should be able to just go back and restore the older version.
Backups are important, Today its just you wanting to downgrade the app, tomorrow could be a total loss of the hard drive. Make sure you have regular backups of your computers.

Yes, you can do it with your iPhone/iPad jailbreaked. This is the only way. After jail breaking your iPhone. It will be capable of using other people IPA apps file. But think before you do. A jailbreaked iPhone/iPad would be more unstable than the non-jailbreak iDevs. If your iDevs hangs out while your Drone in the air. Then you know the outcome... ![]()
Hi,
Since AR.Freeflight 2.0 is a software update for previous software versions, you cannot downgrade your current application.
On the other hand, since Drone users have requested a workaround, we are currently submitting a "new" AR.FreeFlight application ( the previous software version 1.9) under a new name.
Apple requires a verification period of, at most, 2 weeks before this new application shall be available on the Apple store.
I upgraded to free flight 2.0 and now my drone will not take-off & rolls 45 degrees to the right. Any ideas how I can rectify this.
hi gerrygibbGerryGibb,
have you tried doing a flat trim ? Also which Apple device are you using to pilot your AR.Drone ?
I cannot find ar.freeflight 2.0 in list of available apps for my ipad. The freeflight version if have has no descriptions on any of the settings pages and the order of items on the pages don't seem to follow any examples I can find on the internet. Any ideas?
Oh! Dear friends from Parrot!
You NEED to help us poor guys who bought an AR drone 2.0 and this is what happened:
I had my Freeflight installed since May in My Galaxy Tab 10.1
When finally AR came fro Brookstone yesterday it still had old firmware.
I started it with old FreeFlight and worked fine. I made the horrible mistake of trusting the "update" section and requested it!
Bang! Some how I ended up with firmware 2.1.19 and a total loss of control could not get to stabilize or do a decent hover.
Then super BIG mistake! I got for $5.99 a cheap way to brick my drone. I got AR.pro and it's "firmware switcher".... Aggggggh!
I said... I can get it back to xx.10 or .11 !!!!!! It sort of did it... I wonder.
Freeflight now crashes and I can only use AR.pro with NO VIDEO!
Obviously I need to get Freeflight back to older version. How can I do that? Parrot should also allow older Freeflight versions for Android to be available. "You cannot downgrade freeflight" They say... Why not? If I uninstall an "updated" program and install the original again, it should be the old one!!!! I cannot swallow that of "Cannot be downgraded"...
Please Parrot you have a faithful believer (and I guess a lot more) who would be thankful of you letting us get back to older versions!
Did I loose my money? will I not be able to enjoy my Ar Drone ever.......

Hi Apparition,
I see that you have also contacted Parrot support directly, I have forwarded your enquiry to the relevant support team and they should be in contact directly to assist you.
Nevermind... he already figured it out himself... just like we all have to do because parrot support is useless
Got all the latest software and the latest iOS. Works perfectly. What's the issue?
I think that if you have bought the ar2 and have an iPad and can't get it to fly then you should carefully repackage it and sent it back to the shop. Not for a refund, but after all the customer support, FAQS and tutorial videos you are clearly too stupid to own a drone. I've been making my own RC camera planes and helis sine 1984 and this is the best value off the peg kit I've ever seen. I can do 3D with my own stuff but that's cost more than this and it's not self stabilising and no downlink of live images.
Well done Parrot. I knew what to do with this before I opened the box because of you videos. Unfortunately you've brought hi tech gadgets within the price range of morons.
