Topic: CONTROL LINK NOT AVAILABLE

I have followed everything in the FAQ to try and rectify this problem, to NO success!  Everything is GREEN and good to go, I can view the camera/s on the drone....but, when a press the 'take off' button the motors do a little turn and then switch off - CONTROL LINK NOT AVAILABLE!!!!  Not a happy camper!!  Need advice, surely I'm not the only person this is happening too!!

Re: CONTROL LINK NOT AVAILABLE

Exactly the same thing here. I found this program called ardrone diagnostics(aard) that i've used to test each motor individually, motors 1 and 2 are fine but i can get 3 and 4 to spin up but only for a split second, then the drone shuts off completely and i have to disconnect the battery for a few second before i can reconnect it.

Also i don't have a charger so i've been using my arduino to power the battery while its hooked to the drone, so it could be a battery problem.
Other than that i can't find any damage to either board.

Re: CONTROL LINK NOT AVAILABLE

I recently had to replace a motor which basically caught fire when I plugged in the battery.  Having replaced it and updated my drone I noticed it swayed alot and sometimes dropped and or elevated rapidly, but now after 2 charged flights i am getting a control link not found and my drone falls to the ground.  I checked all motors for shaft damage and prop failure and there is none. When it happens my iphone still shows connection to the drone even after I refresh the network.  What gives I tell ya what gives?

Re: CONTROL LINK NOT AVAILABLE

I am starting to get more of this now as well, with my new AR Drone 2.0 on Android free flight v2.0.5... didn't happen orginally and happens with original battery or any of the others I have brought (genuine parrot batteries)

Re: CONTROL LINK NOT AVAILABLE

All of you are certainly having a perplexing problem that I have never encountered in roughly 20 flights since I got my drone2 in late August 2012.  Suggest you contact Parrot support.
