The announcement can be validated on Parrot's Facebook page if you don't trust this site... as a matter if fact they talked about it again today saying that they are actively testing the app before release on several android devices for compatibility and they confirmed their original release date of May 11th
Brookstone sales rep showed me app when I bought my drone, but I should have looked at her phone more closely. It had to have been a iphone and not an android like she said. By the way, I trust this forum and Thx for the response.
Ar.Pro is working great for me in the mean time... if you don't mind going without video... I've been getting some killer practice time

Doesn't AR.Freeflight 1.0 do the same thing? That's how I'm flying my Drone 2.0 on my Droid RAZR right now. Seems to work fine for control purposes, just no video connection. Then again, if I wanted a helicopter without video, I could've just spent $30 and not $300! Lol
Hearing the iOS users whining about bug fixes and patches for new features on their Freeflight 2.0 is getting kind of old considering we Android users haven't even gotten the app yet... Not saying it's their fault (the iOS users that is), it's just really frustrating and frankly, I think Parrot bungled this release pretty badly.
It's like buying a new special car but the gas that runs it won't be available for another week or two. In the meantime, you can push it around the driveway. Yay! ![]()

I think it
s just a feel preference. I'm using Ar.Pro all of the time now, and it works really weell. I do have the problem every so often that it disconnects the wifi on my phone, and of all the control apps, its only Ar.Pro that has this happen....

Yeah... it's just preference ... ar.Pro has a lot more settings and functionality... i lost control of the drone three times with freeflight but ar.pro has been rock solid with no glitches
