Topic: Windows 8 compatibility

Yeah, I know that this might be a little early, but I was just wondering if Parrot might be able to tell me if they were working on a version for Windows 8.  I will have both a Windows 8 phone and tablet by the first qtr of 2013, and I would hope that Parrot would support them.

So, Parrot team, what are the chances?

Hi Kbanes,

unfortunatly, we can confirm to you: Parrot is not currently working on a Windows compatibility for its application AR.Freeflight.

Re: Windows 8 compatibility

Can I ask why you're not working on Windows compatibility.  If nothing else even windows 8/rt.  Please make this happen.

Thats simple, because no one uses it. Windows phone has less than 4 percent market share, the chance of someone with both a windows phone and Android are pretty slim fractions of a percent. Probably only 5 people in total.

As for windows 8, they have never made an app for a computer OS. I'm guessing your thinking about this for use on a windows 8 Tablet. The main reason they have apps for other tablets is because they pretty much can make an app for the phone and it works for the tablet with little change at all since its basically the same OS for android/Apple phones/tables.

I do think I would be upset myself If I had a windows phone or tablet and there was no app however I can understand how its probably not worth their time and effort for OS that slim to none of the customers use.

Re: Windows 8 compatibility

I did see a youtube video this weekend with someone using a windows phone app so there should be a third party app for it.
