Hi Rodger,

The iPhone 4S is not yet listed as a compatible device with the Mki range, we are currently working on problems observed during testing to find a resolution.

If you don't get sound but the music is shown as playing on the MKi9200 screen unplug the dock from the iPhone 4S and reconnect this. You should now find you get sound.

If you still don't get sound please check the Mute on streaming setting is ticked on your MKi9200 SETTINGS>AUDIO>MUTE ON STREAMING

Not exactly the safest thing to do whilst driving this is also a bug with the iphone with IOS 5 and 5.01

This could turn legal very quickly if someone has an accident due to the defective nature off substandard firmware.

Also are you going to delete this post aswell which your very good at doing

we are customers and have a right to air our discontent this has been cross posted to highlight your constant cleansing of threads....

Lets see how long it takes to delete this and for them to produce some more crappy buggy firmware

I have two posted above.

Also intermittently when say on a long call and resuming music from the dock connector there is no audio, solution is to disconnect and reconnect, not very safe when driving !.

This was working perfectly with 4.3.5 (IOS)

So I assume this bugs are from 5.0 or slight incompatibilties

Is there an update for IOS 5 as 1.95 is starting to show quite a lot of bugs with IOS 5

Siri is only available on the iPhone 4S it is not part of IOS5 for any other device apart from that.

I have tested it with IOS 5 Gold Master which is basically what is being released next week the bugs I have found with 1.95 :

1.) When playing via the dock the iphone 4 with play the song but no sound will come out of the kit, workaround connect and reconnect the iphone all works.

2.) Sometimes when a call comes in whilst listening to the iphone via the dock, after the call has ended the same as above happens again the same resolution

Overall it is slightly more laggy but thats what I have noticed.

Parrot have you got new firmware to work with IOS 5 yet as dont let this go down the IOS 4 route from last year where problems were encountered big time

1.80 that is in the downloads is 1.81 tried it there and reports as 1.81

has this been taken offline ?

This is going to be released in a few days have you tested this and have a firmware available for it.

As from the previous IOS releases 4.x it has been an nightmare so either advise us to hold off updating or release a new firmware with is for this IOS

And Random reboots ARE BACK !

Okay running this for a week and the below issues occur :

1. Random reboots = Pull in shut off engine, disable BT on iphone 4, renable, turn back on car.

2. Sound after phones calls for music using dock connector at max volume = 25% normal volume, when a text or alert comes in the kits suddenly gets really loud.

3. Sometimes the kit which is almost new (3rd box in one year) does not power, professional installed by parrot certified installer.

4. Dock connector takes twice as long to charge the iphone as 1.5 with 3.1.3

5. A2DP and AVCRP are both non effective, when you pause you cannot play again, if you have shuffle enabled on the iphone this messes up the random playing of tracks

6.When a phone call comes in there is a scratchy chirping noise like a cricket and a low subdued ringtone

This is not hardware related and is in fact down to the crap firmware between 1.6 and 1.7

I have noticed the audio quality has deteroriated I am using a brand new iphone 4 16GB ios 4.1

Have'nt had a reboot yet.

The A2DP and AVCRP is still very bad basically only partially working and dying quite a lot so this update again seems to be a flop.

I will road test it tomorrow on a 5 hour journey will see then if any random reboots occurs, hopefully this will be like 1.5 and finally stable for ios 4.xx firmwares

Okay Tested this with the following :

1.) iPad 3G running 4.2 GM, works perfectly with Dock connector all ipod functions are 100%, it also works with the iPad navigation with Navigon, it slightly dulls the music when giving directions.

The not charging message comes up beside the battery but I have checked with 2 apps for checking the battery and it is in fact charging.

2.) iPhone 3Gs 32GB ios 4.1, works fine on both dock and A2DP the avcrp controls seem fine now and not buggy as before.

The Update took around 3 mins in total from starting to full reboot and also the screen is updated, so will wait and see how a proper road test goes.

On a slightly negative note, streaming radio apps show the message "no volume"

who wants to be the guinea pig then ?

I would advise not to update to be on the safe side as it looks like a release by parrot is either going to be crap or non exisistant

it should appear as an iphone if it appears as ipod there is something wrong or it is not connected right.

not at the moment the bluetooth profiles on the iphone dont support that protocol

mine sayings nothing just hear a noise like a pop and it reboots and does that constantly until the car is stopped.

it is the firmware nothing else
