Topic: HTC One X

I'm having problems pairing my CK3000 Evolution with my new HTC One X. Previously, it worked fine with my Samsung Galaxy S on Android 2.3.5, but I'm having no joy with my HTC One X on Android 4.03 and Bluetooth 4.0.

When I try to pair, the phone finds the CK3000 EVO (V5.11) and I then select it on the phone to pair. I'm then asked for the pairing code, which I enter. The Parrot kit then says, "Pairing successful", but the phone just sits there saying, "Pairing" and nothing happens.

Ideas?

Re: HTC One X

Try reset on CK3000 Evo - Hold Red & Green buttons until you hear "memory erasing in progress".
If that doesn't help it might be better to upgrade fiormware to V5.25C (the latest)
Did this for a customer earlier today who was using ICS (V4.0.3) on a Galaxy S2 and worked OK.

Hi, I am having the same issue, did you manage to sort it?

If I need to do a firmware update, can I do it myself or do I need an installer?

This is exactly the same problem that I have with my new Samusung Galaxy S3. I have 4 CK3000 in different vehicles and non of them will pair with the S3.  It just sits there saying pairing and nothing else until I turn the Parrot off, then the phone reports it is paired but never connects.
To prove to myself the that I know how to work the phone, I have tried it on a MiniKit and it works fine.
Is this a Parrot or Samsung fault?

Re: HTC One X

Hi Lofty,

The Samsung Galaxy S3 is a new device and as a result is currently being tested with our products.  For this reason I am not able to confirm compatibility at present. Once testing has been carried out and compatibility confirmed the information will be listed on our website.

If not up to date, I would recommend a software update, the latest version of software for the CK3000 is v5.25; this is displayed when you search for devices via Bluetooth, i.e. CK3000 5.XX.

To update, you will need a specific Parrot Software update cable and a PC (preferably a laptop) running Windows XP/Vista and our Parrot update tool software http://www.parrot.com/uk/support/downloads

A serial cable can be purchased from one of our distribution companies, Chameleon, they can be contacted on 01206 500 821.

Alternatively if you visit our website and select ‘find your nearest certified installer’ the nearest certified installer in your area will be detailed.  They will gladly advise how they can assist with the update.

Re: HTC One X

Many thanks for your help.

If got a flash lead from JCK above and have succeeded in updating one of my kits to the current firmware version. This all now works fine.

I now have 4 other kits that need updating. I’ve got a spare controller and would like to upload the FoB firmware to it to enable me to update the other kits over BT without the need to gain access to the controllers hidden in the dash to plug the lead in.

If I understand correctly, I need to flash the CK3000 FoB firmware to my spare controller to do this however, I can’t see the FoB firmware listed in the update software, only the standard CK3000.

Where can I download the FoB firmware?

Re: HTC One X

Hello, I had this problem with galaxy s3 aswell. Now I borrowed a serial data lead but had problems with it and ended up cancelling the update half way through, I think. Now I dont know what firmware is on the kit, but anyway, i tryed connecting my phone afterwards, and still got the same "PAIRING limbo". Got p****d off with it and gave the green and red buttons on the Parrot kit a quick simultaneous press (not holding them down), and hey presto, intsant connection! Good luck.

Re: HTC One X

I changed to the HTC One X from a Blackberry 9700 Bold and it sounds as if I've lost half of the CK3000 Evolution's functionality, even with the firmware upgrade.  Doesnt help that I dont have the green/red button control device thingy, because the CK3000 was fitted to use the integrated steering controls in my BMW... before I bought the car, so I have no idea where the gizmo has been hidden either.   neutral
