Topic: Software update 1.4.3 german to latest (1.6?) english

Hi!

I'm trying to update from 1.4.3 with german language to the latest (1.6?) english/uk but the system doesn't install it.
I have formated my USB with FAT32 and copied the file asteroid_update_en_GB.plf to my USB stick.
Connected my USB stick to Parrot Asteroid (on of the black USB) started the unit. choosed software update, the unit restart and search for files. after a little while it restarts again but still with 1.4.3 german language.

What am I doing wrong?

I would tru a fresh download and a different small USB stick.

Why won´t you use German 1.6.1 ? You are an Englishman or driving in England ?

Not sure if you've solved your problem but just in case this is how I solved the same problem, except it was French in my case!

I tried various USB sticks I had kicking about, formatting them to Fat32, then but none worked, so I bought a new one and used it straight out of the box already formatted to FAT32 and loaded up the GB 1.6 update. Make sure it's at the root of the stick directory and not in a folder etc.

With Asteroid powered off, insert a paperclip into the reset hole behind the faceplate and press for 10 seconds to hard reset the existing firmware. Put the faceplate back on. Then press and hold both the speech and Parrot buttons and turn on ignition. When you see the searching for update... message let go of buttons. Mine then successfully went through the update process, loading bars etc, then rebooted itself and hey presto it's all in English!
