Re: ***New update ver.1.60 for Parrot MKi9200/9100/9200 now available ***

When Apple fix this, will my iPhone 4 start to work correctlt when plugged in to the device. I only use it for music, so plug it in direct. The fix in the latest version of firmware sounds like it's something to do with bluetooth taking control of the device.

Or will this be the fix to rule all fixes? smile

Hello all. I'm new to this forum but have had the MKi9200 kit installed for over a year now. Generally it has been great with the exception of a few minor issues which have been slowly been getting ironed out with firmware updates.

There are a couple of issues I really wish could be included in the next update.

Firstly is when playing music. I use a portable hdd plugged into the usb connector rather than ipod and playback is seamless. However my wife sometimes uses the sd card slot for playing music also. The problem is  when play is stopped by either parking the car up or just even turning the ignition off for a while. I have found that when the car is started back up playback does resume, but irrespective if the play was paused whilst playing from the sd slot or even a playlist created on the usb hdd it will always default onto the usb drive at some random track. Why can't it pick up play exactly where it left off instead of starting with some random track on usb drive. I generally just have it playing all songs randomly, and during this it will restart the song from wherever it left off, likewise if I'm playing an artists album or all of a particular artists songs. It only seems to be when playing from generated m3u / pls playlist or from the sd card that it can't remember where to pick up from.

The other issue is regarding synchronising with Blackberry Curve 8900. Contact pictures have never and still not able to be displayed when making or receiving a call. Most of my contacts have pictures assigned to them but none are displayed on parrot lcd screen. Even tried forcing picture to contact but still not displaying.

I hope Parrot technical read through these posts and take on board comments made by its users.

With version 1.6 (with my Nokia N900) I can not call a person with spoken instruction. The Parrot do not understand my instruction (name of person). So version 1.6 make my parrot unusefull. Version 1.5 works good with my N900.

No it isn't. Which is why there is a different firmware file for each device.

Like others in this forum, I can't understand how I was sold, by an approved installer, an mki9200 for my iPhone 3gs. I wasn't made aware of the problem until after the installation! I am now running the latest 1.6 software and ios4.02, still can't use the dedicated iPhone connection without crashing the Parrot. I am getting very frustrated. When will this ever be solved?

I have just upgraded to 1.60 from1.10 and my main issue with the MKi9200 appears to be fixed! From day 1 it would freeze and reset at anytime while playing a track on my ipod (more often than not at the beginning of a new track or if the volume is adjusted). I still have a small issue with hanging up after a call - sometimes have to use the phone to do this.

I have Danish version on the MKi 9200. There is no update from 1.50 to 1.60 yet?! How long do we have to wait to get on that will work with our edition?

At the risk of sounding boring please re-enable the pausing of a connected ipod when a call comes in via a bluetooth connected iphone....

Guys, I use a Mac and have no access to a PC. How would I be able to update the firmware on a 9200?
