Data usage and the Asteroid

I appreciate everyones data usage will probably be different but as a guide to the amount of data the Asteroid uses, here is my usage details:

"3" 3G PayAsYouGo dongle. 3GB package bought at the time of purchasing the Asteroid, at a cost of £39.00

On 7th April I activated the account and I had 3092MB of data available until 6th July 2012.

Daily 40 min roundtrip to field to feed horses.
24 days in previous month, work run - roundtrip of 25mins.
Assorted trips into town - roundtrip of 50 mins.
8 occasions browsing BBC/google/wikipedia on the Browser App added on day 3.

As a test I have rarely listened to FM radio and loaded up the Orange LiveRadio App on every available occasion.

As of 7th May, my account has 2205MB left. So roughly 900MB used in a month at approx (very) 30MB per day.

I find that a very digestible amount of data at a cost of £10 per 1GB or £15 per 3GB.

Hope that's of interest for anyone new and/or undecided on the cost of ownership/running..
