Topic: Select phone books to sync

I have the HTC Droid Incredible. When I sync my contacts it syncs all my Facebook friends also . My phone allows me to select whether I want to see those in my contacts, which i do not, so i deselect Facebook for HTC Sense . Is there a way to exclude the Facebook contacts from syncing?  If not there should be.  I know I could manually transfer each contact but that is a pain.

Synching of groups to the Parrot products is controlled by the phone, if your supports groups you should be able to choose what group you want to sync in your phone

I also have this same problem. On my phone, I do not have the account that is linked to Facebook tic'd but all of those contacts still show in my Asteroid. Do you have a specific walkthrough on the steps to make your phone only sync what you want to the Asteroid? The only option I have is the one I described, which is my "View" setting, and all I see on my phone are the contacts I want to see, not my Facebook ones. Please help as I have waaaay too many FB contacts to be able to go through them on the radio and find the one I need. The contacts feature on the Asteroid is unusable for me at the moment because of this.

Re: Select phone books to sync

Hi,

phonebook synch is not related to 3rd party applications like Facebook. Once synch is launched between the 2 devices, the full content of the phonebook stored on internal memory will be shared, whatever its origin.
Only contacts stored within SIM card will not be shared since Parrot units do not look into it. If you have the possibility, split your contacts between your phone's internal memory and your SIM card. If not, you can only stop auto synch and send each contact manually one after another.

Re: Select phone books to sync

This is unfortunate. If I don't sync my Facebook contacts, I don't see peoples pictures. I'll try the manual method once I know I'm not going to pull my Battery terminal and reset the radio. There should be a way to backup all your settings to USB or SD so that you can have all your stations and contacts etc after an update or you lose power to the radio. I hope this can be implemented.
