Topic: Do iPod supported file formats (Audible .aa files) play w/ iPod DAC?

I have searched through both this forum and the developers’ forum and have not found an answer to this.  So here goes...

Basically, I want to know if I can play Audible files (.aa) on the Parrot ASTEROID through an iPod.  I think this question comes down to where is the DAC in this connection, on the iPod, or on the ASTEROID.

If you connect an iPod (Nano, Classic, Touch) to the ASTEROID using the iPod cable, will the iPod act as the decoder?  Or, is it limited to just the ASTEROID supported file types?

Does this also extend to other non-supported file types (DRMs and lossless)?

Thanks,

They should play fine, the ipod should decode and send the stream to the radio. I'm 99% sure its not mounting it as storage, just interfacing with the ipod.
