Topic: Mounting pieces for CK3000 control

What is the small plastic piece for that comes in the package with a piece of double-sided tape?  It has a couple of holes in it for screws that seem to match up with the back of the CK3000 control unit.  It also has a slot that is the size of the control unit cable.  Trying to determine if this is useful for anything in my application (1997 Chrysler Sebring convertible).

Also, is anyone moderating this forum?  I've noticed several posts that are old with no responses.

I am also interested in where to obtain the components necessary to do a firmware upgrade or where there is a dealer that could do it for me.

Re: Mounting pieces for CK3000 control

Here are my guesses at your questions.  I purchased two CK3000 Evolution units and have installed one in my wife's car.  The other is going in my car when I get time.  The small plastic piece, I believe, goes on the back of the control unit to allow you to bend the cable so that it can come through a hole behind the control, rather than exiting out the top.  Just a guess, mind you.  With regard to the upgrade, you can get the upgrade software from the Parrot website.  They give two options for installing the upgrade, a serial cable and a bluetooth dongle.  They responded to my request for a serial cable by saying they only provide it to installers.  Not very supportive, IMO.  But I THINK you can get a Bluetooth dongle many places that will plug into a USB port on  your computer and upgrade it via Bluetooth.  I have not tried that since my unit has the most current software in it.

Yes the small piece is to bend the cable so it comes out the back of the control unit. You dont take the piece out of the control unit you undo the screws abd add it on top of the existing piece.

You will not be able to upgrade via blutooth. I tried and so have others. Do a goole on Parrot Upgrade........ you will see.

My installer says they dont due upgrades!!!!!!*&%$
However, I am at 5.09 and the latest is version is at 5.10 so I am fine.
