Topic: Blackberry 8310-3200 LS: Phonebook problems

1) even though I have set my BB to sync only the "carphone" group of my contact list, it syncs my entire list of 417 contacts instead of only the carphone category of 90 contacts. It worked properly on my first sync, but I recently had to restore my BB contact list and now, since deleting/re-pairing the BB with the Parrot, it syncs the entire contact list.
2) I had 2 contacts in my BB with pictures. During the in initial contact list transfer, I saw two times an error message flashing saying something like "corrupt picture file" and then found the 2 contacts having pictures didn't get transferred at all. Had to delete the pictures on the BB to get the two contacts to sync.

By the way, the manual of 3200 LS is very poor, hardly explains any of the features and setting options. I have never seen a poorer documentation then this one!

Re: Blackberry 8310-3200 LS: Phonebook problems

The some of the info below is from the Parrot 3200LS FAQ sheet that can be found at: http://parrot.helpserve.com/index.php?_ … &nav=0

My phone does not finish synchronizing, what’s wrong (white dot
does not quit going around)?

• Some phones will not synchronize if there are pictures associated with contacts
in the phone. Disassociate the photos from the contacts, turn off the ignition and
wait until the Parrot says “Goodbye” on the screen and turns off. Turn the ignition
on again and the phone should sync with the Parrot. The photos can be sent via
Blutooth to the Parrot and associated with a contact. See next section for
instructions on sending pictures to the Parrot.

Why don't my pictures show up on the caller ID? My phone was able
to sync the contacts, but the photos I have associated with the
contact are not showing up on the 3200.

• Most phones will not automatically synchronize the picture associated with a
contact to the kit. However, the kit will allow pictures to be sent to the kit to be
associated with a contact. This can be done by the following procedure:
• On the kit go to Settings –> Contacts Management –> Phonebook Management –>
Select a contact –> Select Associate Photo. This will put the car kit in picture
receiving mode. All that needs to be done at this point is to push a picture over
from another Bluetooth device (computer, phone, PDA, etc.)

Hope this helps
