Topic: Sprint EVO Synchronization Failed

Hey All,

I'm having trouble with my new Sprint EVO (Android 2.1).  The phone found the Parrot, connected nicely, and I got a prompt on the Evo about allowing access to my contacts (I chose always allow).

The Parrot shows "Synchronizing" followed by some of my contact photos starting to load up on the screen.  After a few photos appear (perhaps 5 or 6) the process stops suddenly and the Parrot shows "Synchronization Failed".

Anyone have any tips or suggestions?

Thanks,
Ryan

Re: Sprint EVO Synchronization Failed

I believe I got this figured out.  The problem appears to have been with some of my contact photos which had synced from Facebook.  Each time the synchronization process failed I deleted the image that had just shown up on the screen and after a doing that a few times the synchronization succeeded.

For some reason my other contact photos (not synced from Facebook but rather from photos on my SD card) are not synchronizing to the Parrot.  Could this be an issue of resolution?  Does the Parrot ignore contact photos that are too large?

Thanks.

You are correct, there are limitations to the image size for a contact. A contact’s picture must be in the JPEG format, be less than 29.5kB, and have a resolution of 640 x 480 or less.
