Kin 2m phone and MiniKit slim

After finding my new Kin phone from Verizon does not do voice dialing, I went looking for a smarter bluetooth that would handle that task. I got the idea from a rented car whose radio-integrated bluetooth dialed my Kin phone, so why can't something else?  Not finding anything that fits on the ear that advertised that capability, I purchased the MiniKit Slim thinking it might do it.

Maybe it will, but I haven't figured it out.  I haven't found how to voice dial numbers.  And the MiniKit doesn't seem to know how to pull the Kin's phone book, and the Kin doesn't seem to know how to push it.

Has anyone had success with this combination?
