Topic: Huawei Ideos X5 sound problem.

My Asteroid and Huwaei Ideos X5 phone (or called U8800) works with the Parrot, but:

Caller can hear me, I do not hear the caller nor ringtone when being called.
All other functions work.

X5 has 2.2 Froyo. End of the year being updated to 2.3 Gingerbread.

Is the problem created by using rear speaker line-out and sub-line only?
I do not use front-line or front speaker-out.

I believe you figured out the same problem as I did. I don't have my front speakers hooked up at the moment because I'm installing the rest of my system, and I cannot hear anything while in phone mode, but I did use it while the front speakers were plugged in and I heard everything. So it seems it just outputs sound to the front speakers, though I haven't tried the front preouts yet, and hope those work properly because that is what I'll be using once my amps are in. Why don't u use the front speaker outs at all? Don't you have front speakers?

Hi,

I confirm: once Parrot ASTEROID launches handsfree mode, all incoming sounds (callers voice, ringtone,...) are sent to the frontspeakers only. This is done to prevent echos and sound issue within the car.
