Topic: Paired with iPhone just fine
I bought this hands free setup device because I don't care for anything hanging on my ear and just needed to be able to answer my iphone when I'm in the car. This great device paired fine and works great. The volume is loud enough that I actually had to turn it down somewhat. The only thing that was not quite clear was actually turning the device on and off. I just thought you hit the button but it turns out you have to hold down the on/off button to do either. Figured this out after a short while but it really was not clear in the instructions.
My only real question seems to be the same as some others in that there is mention of the Parrot Serial Cable for updating the software, but I have no idea as to what that might be. Can't find it on this web site, other than in some instruction sheets. With Vista I'm not sure if it will just plug into and read with a standard USB to mini USB cable. Guess I will just purchase a bluetooth plug in for my laptop to be able to check on updating the device. Anyone know if there is way to figure out what version you have in the MINIKIT without the bluetooth connection? If not, then so be it. Still a great product. Heard some complaints that the voice recognition would not work with their phone, but phones that don't have voice dialing to begin with, even my iPhone, should not expect this device to do that. Just my 2 cents that it does work with the iPhone.
